Yankees Make a Statement with Back-to-Back Series Sweeps

The New York Yankees are Fire! They swept the Chicago White Sox in three games this week, giving them a seven-game winning streak. This comes right after they completely dominated the Houston Astros as well. Here’s what’s most alarming about the Yankees right now:

Yankees Dominating
Yankees Dominating

Judge is Raking: Aaron Judge, the Yankees’ giant slugger, just can’t stop hitting bombs. He launched his 13th homer of the season during this series, and that’s 7 dingers in just the last 13 games! Basically everything he hits goes for extra bases, eight out of his last nine hits have been doubles, triples, or homers!

Bertie is a beast: New guy John Bertie who came over from the Miami Marlins is already proving his worth. In the third game against the White Sox, he hit a huge 3-run homer that gave the Yankees a good lead. And get this, the only places in the entire league where that ball will even be a homer is Yankee Stadium and Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, because he went out to the opposite field! Crazy!

Pitching Power: Starting pitcher Carlos Rodón, a former Yankees draft pick, shut things down. He only gave up two measly runs and four hits in six innings, all while striking out six batters. This is just the latest example of the Yankees’ starting pitchers being lights out – they haven’t allowed more than five runs in any of their last seven starts!

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: The whole team is clicking! Guys batting in the 5th through 9th spots in the lineup, like Anthony Rizzo, Gleyber Torres, and the new catcher Jose Trevino, all contributed with a combined seven hits and five runs batted in. Trevino’s big two-run single that tied the game and Berti’s clutch homer were game-changers.

Hot Streak History: This seven-win streak is the Yankees’ longest since September 2022. They have already swept four streaks this season, which is the same as all of last year! Meanwhile, the White Sox are on a rampage, earning the worst road record in all of baseball at 4-19.

Basically, the NY Yankees are letting the world know they are a great team. With wins like this, it’s hard not to be excited about their chances in the playoffs. Look out for the Bronx Bombers, they’ll take the AL and beyond!
